Visited today the Penn Road restaurant and experienced disgustingly poor customer service. Went through via drive thru and the member of staff gave me all the options for sauces with my share box meal and the chicken select I ordered. All was fine until I got the collecting my food. The member of staff refused to provide smokey barbecue sauce and said I need to pay. After trying to express that I was given the option to have sauce, this fell on deaf ears and the staff member demanded 50p per sauce, I then requested 2 and attempted to pay by card however, the member of staff who identified herself at the manager, Laura said she would be to take my card out of sight into the restaurant as she did not have a chip and pin machine at the drive thru, which in sounds suspicious. I informed that I was unhappy about this at which point another member of staff appeared who was also very rude. I spent £30 on food and I am sure that smokey barbecue sauce is part of the meal with share box and chicken selects. I requested the staff members name to which she replied, you don't need to know!! In all my years of visiting McDonald’s, I have never experienced such substandard service. The staff really need to address how they approach customer service and this experience will ensure I don't visit McDonald’s again. Shameful customer service.
Constantly getting orders wrong! Missing items which shows clearly no one is checking before items go out. Today, I ordered online, only for the restaurant to cancel my order after 25mins… terrible restaurant/service!
I've lost count of the number of meals that have been ruined by the members of staff in this abysmally managed branch of Mcdonalds. For some reason, our children insist on returning to order delivery from this branch even though personally I would happily never use them again. As a result, we are subjected to continual disappointment (although after over 10 ruined meals I'm no longer surprised. We had one order the other day that arrived with everything present (except the dips we ordered I guess a perfect order is too much to ask for) and everyone was amazed that all the food had arrived. I think that speaks volumes. As others have mentioned, the manager couldn't care less or be any less helpful. Also staff hang up the phone if you politely explain the problem to them. Clearly, the poor attitude of the manager passes down to the staff. This isn't an issue with McDonald's as a whole, just the Penn Road branch which nothing short of shocking.
This restaurant is one of the worst places I have ever been to. Uber drivers are served before anyone else. The manager, who I suspect is Sarah, seems to be involved in questionable dealings at the back door. If anyone wants video evidence, please contact me.
