Over the last year or so I've seen less people in the dining areas and more at the bar. I think it is partly because they have removed some meals off the menu. Mostly appetizers and burgers now. But, at least the dining areas are quiet! They have a nice patio area as well. I've always received great service from the staff. Brendan, one of the managers, is always checking on tables (if they're not insanely busy) to make sure everything is going okay. The last time I was there for my birthday the waitress (I wish I could remember her name) was really phenomenal. Overall I highly recommend this place. What items they do have on the menu are delicious. I just wish they would add a little more to the menu since I don't care for burgers, and sometimes I want something more than an appetizer.
Typically when I go to Crossroads I get the Reuben wrap. It's delicious and is perfect with waffle fries and anyone of a variety of beers. I like that Crossroads supports local breweries with having Church Street on tap. Today I went in and had a couple of Wild Berry Moscow Mules very refreshing on a 90 degree day and the loaded tater tots. The tater tots were fine but not my favorite. We also order fried cheese curds which were good. The bar itself was a former hangout of mine when I lived in the area. It has outdoor seating and semi out door seating. I love that it has a neighborhood sports bar type of feel to it. I will say they have the video poker games this is a trend a lot of local bars are leaning towards. I am personally not a fan but I am sure it brings in good revenue. Crossroads also has an excellent selection on the Jukebox. All in all a great place to hang out.
It always fun to hit up one of the local dive bars for some greasy bar food. When it's done right it can be oh so good from the fine dining. This place is like walking into where all the locals come for their Friday night fix of drinks and food. The place is a little outdated inside, but it's what you expect from the locals hangout. We started off with a couple 22ounce beers that was the special for the night. Nothing wrong here and exactly what you would expect for a cheap beer. Then I decided to branch over to an old fashioned. Having one the night before at the upscale Morton's and thinking they were terrible, I was interested to see the townie bar's interpretation. I have to say, it was a bad drink. Not outstanding, but better than the $22 one I had the previous night. Great place to grab some wings. We had both the traditional hot and some bbq ones. I liked that they had an option for $1 more to get all drumsticks or flats. I prefer the drumsticks so it was an easy add on to both. The wings were cooked great and the sauces were very good. They actually have a sauce called WOW, which I have tried before. The menu clearly states that they are extremely hot and no refunds for them. Having had them before, I can attest to them being very spicy. If you like the heat, you can probably eat about two of them before wanting to tone it down, so beware of that sauce. The wings came with choice of blue cheese or ranch, and your typical assortment of celery/carrots. Along with the wings we order the garlic parmesan waffle fries. These things are good. Nice flavor and great way to transform your typical fries into something flavorful. Highly recommend getting an order of these for the table. If you don't like the loud bar scene, they have a few sections outside of the main bar with a much quieter atmosphere. One of the walls is lined with slot machines as all of the bars seem to have now a days. The service was excellent. Our waitress was there every time we needed her and was incredibly friendly. Many times she just stood at the table to chat or let us know what other drink options they had. She definitely made you feel welcome and we will surely be back when we are in the mood for the traditional bar food.
This place is a gem. The food never fails. Today I decided to order a Chopped Chicken Salad. It came out with a generous portion. We also ordered two burger (cooked to perfection). I am always greeted here with a happy face, we chose to sit outside in the porch area to get some fresh air. We had Chulpy as a server and she was kind and attentive, also gave a few recommendations that were helpful. Overall, it was a great evening!
Local business near me, best service typical bar food such as sandwiches and burgers, it has a picnic table type seating in the back, where they do karaoke some nights, in the summertime it is nice they have a patio in front of the restaurant, that is a good place to sit to enjoy the weather, The food is not bad the prices are a little high but all in all this is not a bad option if you're looking for somewhere to grab something to eat or have a drink to relax.
