Fat Louie's Woodbury

I really love this restaurant and I've been getting food here for over two years. However, I've noticed some issues recently. They haven't been answering the phone, and when they do, they hang up. If you try to place an order after 6 PM on a day they're open until 8 PM, they won't prepare your food. I think the owner needs to step in and manage his staff better.

The staff was extremely friendly. I wanted to order the roast pork, but they mentioned it wouldn't be available until tomorrow. So, I opted for a cheesesteak instead, but it didn't taste very good. The fries were disappointing, and the cole slaw came in a shot glass-sized portion, which I didn't enjoy. The only reasons I'm not giving a one-star rating are the polite staff and the quality of the roll for the cheesesteak.

This place is a disgrace. It’s 11:41am on a Wed at lunchtime and they tell me they’re out of steak and can’t make any cheesesteaks. This is my first time here. Def the last. Place is completly dirty. Dust covered everything. The laminated menu at the counter is filthy covered in people’s dirty food smudged finger prints. The soda coolers are empty. Everything just looks bad. The woman who came out to tell me they were out of steak looked like she was up smoking crack all week. A little less getting high and a little more prepping for your restaurant. It’s a shame. I really wanted to try this place but running out of steak before lunch even hits and having a dirty joint maybe this was a blessing in disguise. The guy behind the counter knew I was right and agreed with me. He was just standing there shaking his head yes when I was telling the lady about this place. This place won’t be around much longer. There are too many other clean places to hit. Fire this woman. I hope she’s not the owner. I told this woman I was gonna write a bad review and she said she didn’t care. Great attitude.

I frequented Fat Louie's on a weekly basis for 5 years. I loved their chicken cutlet sandwiches. However they have been steadily going downhill this past year. Last time I ordered my chicken was raw on the inside and took over 2 hours to be delivered. When I tried to call for an update it would just go to a busy signal. Was very disappointed.

First time in NJ in 30 years. Tried several sub shops. Fat Louies best by far.
