The Three Jolly Wheelers - Woodford

This is a nice pub and when the food is correct it 's decent, however last year I was fed a veg pie with blue cheese in it! Stupidly, they had two dishes by the same name, one vegan and one not. After a few mouthfuls I knew something wasn 't right. Management didn 't apologise, just repeated it 's not your fault . This pub is local to my partner 's family so I 've been in there since, this time what we wanted wasn 't available.. New management are a lot better now, and one of the chefs is really accommodating so maybe worth seeing it for yourself.

I was frustrated with the long wait to check in and no one showed us where to go. My first and second choices were not available, and there were no fillet or rib eye steaks. Instead, I was offered a rump steak, which was not even on the menu, with all the trimmings from a roast at the price of the roast. The steak was not tender and quite dry. It was disappointing to find out that the steaks and other dishes had finished early on a Sunday evening. We were not asked about the food, so we had no opportunity to provide feedback. When the waitress brought the food, my husband asked for vinegar but it was never brought to him. The water dispenser by the dog bowls was empty, luckily we had brought our own. The restaurant has been nicely refurbished, and I was pleased they now allow dogs in some areas. However, the food has not improved and the service was very poor. The area where we sat with our dog did not have full table service, as we had to order food and drinks at the bar ourselves.

After not using this pub for 2 years due to very bad service we decided to give it a go as it now as new management, it is a nice pub but lacks atmosphere especially late in the evening probably due to it closing at 11pm, the food was ok but over priced especially the starters.

The service at this restaurant was not up to standard. The staff struggled to accommodate our party of 6, constantly mixing up orders and serving us at a slow pace. We had to repeatedly remind them to bring out missing dishes and drinks. The food was mediocre at best. Despite the good atmosphere, a better-trained and more attentive staff could greatly improve the overall experience.

We made a reservation for a Mother's Day set menu, but were informed that they had run out of broccoli and cauliflower cheese by 3pm. However, we overheard the waitress telling another table that they were preparing a new batch. The roast for the main course was bland, with very fatty meat, and the vegetables were undercooked and hard.
