Woodhull Family

After driving for 14 hours, we didn't want fast food for dinner. Since we couldn't find a lot on Yelp, we opted for Woodhull Family Restaurant at 8:45 pm on a Sunday evening. The waitress looked less than thrilled since they closed at 9 but she invited us in. The place isn't much to look at but there was something about it that told me they served good food here. Because of time I only ordered a grilled chicken salad and my husband got soup and salad. The portions were generous and there were lots of goodies on top. The dressings were very good and my husband raved about the soup. Some locals were hanging at the counter and I was sad that I couldn't get a piece of pie because I am sure it would have been great. When our order came out our dear waitress told us not to hurry because she was going to be there a while. It really made these weary travelers happy so great job!!

Very much enjoyed the food and service after a long day driving. We had grilled pork chops with choice of sides and linguine meatballs and shrimp. What a welcome change from the usual chain dining. Thank you Joe and everyone. You're hospitality is special and appreciated.
