The wings were legit and so tender they fell off the bone. Smells divey, looks divey and the drinks reflect that. Don't pass this place by.
I was just wondering if this was once known as Clayton 's Log Cabin. As a kid, in the late '40 's and '50 's, our family vacationed in Ship Bottom, NJ. Part of our vacation ritual was to stop at Clayton 's for lunch, both heading to the shore, and heading home. Lots of good memories! would love to visit Mayo 's!
I went to Mayos for the first time last week. It 's a pretty cool place Dive Bar . Looks like an old log cabin. I went with my sister, brother in law, 2 nephews and one of their girlfriend. We ordered appetizers and drinks. We had the huge mozzarella sticks, they were good. We also had the pretzel bites with cheese sauce, they were yummy. I also tried the fried Mac and cheese bites. I thought the prices were a little expensive. Service was good. The only thing I didn 't care for was the cigarette smoke from the patio was coming inside. I could smell smoke on me when we left. I would definitely go again.
What a diamond in the pine barrens. Stopped here to see our friend Tina. She's the bartender here on Saturday. This place is pretty cool. The food here was fantastic. My cheesesteak was awesome. My friends had steamed clams, fried pickles and some sandwiches. Everything was great. I will certainly be back again.
Best Grilled Reuben ever!! At least in my opinion. Not one of those that is so full of corned beef that you can't taste the cheese or the sauerkraut. Great selection of beers. I had a Swamp Donkey IPA (Pinelands Brewery, Egg Harbor). Located in an old (restored) log cabin that was purportedly a speakeasy during Prohibition. Friendly service and clientele. NASCAR races on Sunday. Next time I'm trying the snapper soup!
