We had a Wonderful time. the music was so upbeat jazzy the band just got everyone clapping singing. It was one of my most enjoyable moments to be together with people we did not know but who all share a love of music. The staff at Colony were all so nice ! People welcomed them back to Colony with warmth love. Thanks to Colony staff , The Brighton Beat for giving us a magical musical evening
GET MARRIED HERE. My husband an I threw the raddest party of all time thanks to the Colony and it's people. We wanted a not so run of the mill wedding venue and we hit the jackpot in Woodstock! We worked with Laura to coordinate things from a z and she made everything we asked for happen. The Chef was also incredibly cool and accommodating we came up with a nontraditional menu that included some of our favorites foods it was awesome. Also, great, GREAT bartenders and staff. They were all thoughtful and engaged all night. We are SO happy we got to tie the knot at Colony and wish we could do it all over again. Looking forward to coming back for shows all summer. 10 stars. Great low key place to see music. Mostly sit down venue with an amazing balcony as well. Beautiful building from the 1920s. They had a great local cider on tap! The bartender and Amy who work there are amazing and fun!!
Colony is a great venue for live music. My wife and I attend The Tom Prettys and Dirty Mae concert on Thursday 8/24 and had a great time. The tickets were reasonable, the sound was excellent as it was not too loud, the bartenders and staff were friendly, and the ballroom is intimate and historic. I highly recommend seeing live music at Colony.
Did you know that the Colony has brunch every Sunday? Music is included. Not many places do brunch in Woodstock--so me and my family were excited to try Colony's brunch. We were not disappointed. I brought my mom and her boyfriend around Christmas time. They got the french toast and eggs Benedict. My mom said it was the best french toast she's ever had. I had to agree, perfectly soft with a slight crystallization on the outside of the toast and came with cinnamon maple butter. The Eggs Benedict was perfect as well, and came with a nice crunchy hash brown birds nest and fresh salad (I've never seen hash browns done that way but I'm a fan). I usually get the eggs Benedict myself but I saw the chicken fried steak plate walk by and I had to get it. It was a huge plate of food and I told myself that there was no way I would finish it. I was wrong, I ate the whole thing! I was so impressed I had to ask about the chef. He's had 20+ years of experience and you can tell. His food has a classy creative comfort food style that perfectly matches the Colony's vibe. I'm looking forward to bringing all my friends and family again for brunch and other musical or food occasions. On separate nights I tried both the chicken curry soup and the French onion soup. Both were great. The French onion soup impressed me because I normally don't like it. But the onion pieces were small and melted in your mouth and the flavor was exactly what its supposed to taste like. I'm looking forward to trying everything and especially the biscuits gravy and the cheesy grits. I'm so happy to have a new place to brunch out and having guaranteed good food when I'm out for a music night!
