There was a time when if you went in for a pickup order at the 5 or 6 o'clock mark on a Friday there was usually 2 or 3 others waiting for a pickup as well, along with a good amount of eat in diners. Now you go and you're the only one waiting and there are only 4 diners there. Not worth the time, effort and expense.
My mom and I eat there all the time. I'll be honest, I've been when the food wasn't great, but in fairness to them, it was near the end of lunch hour. I also had one of the staff tell me that if something wasn't hot to simply let them know and they would bring out fresh food. I was also told by a friend not to order the chicken balls because they were mostly batter, but I don't eat that anyway. Of all the times I've been there, I've only had one meal where the food wasn't overly hot. They're also considering testing out a North American menu in the near future.
Went for lunch with my brother. Nice selection of food. Tasty. Reasonable price and Friendly service.
Food was either cold or overcooked, basically nothing was edible, half of the service area was bare with no food, it’s called “new bamboo restaurant” now but is gross. The wait staff are inattentive and I’m pretty sure they have no knowledge on how to run a buffet style restaurant, we decided to give it a try on my birthday and NEVER AGAIN it’s the worst service and food I’ve ever had in all the times this place has changed hands and names since it was the original bamboo back when the food was actually good
We used to stop at this place at least once or twice a month on Sunday nights. The reason being is because it was convenient from the 401 and the food was good plus they had sushi as well. We stopped there tonight apparently after it went under new ownership. This was the worse buffet I have ever seen. All the soups were empty and were not filled the whole time we were there. The food that was out, and it wasn’t much, looked horrible. The back buffet was literally empty except for dried up French fries and wieners that had been there since the lunch buffet, and I think 3 tempura shrimp minus the 2 I took. They are not offering sushi anymore. It was once a go to place but now I think the whole thing should be shut down.
