Mel's Fish Chips (english Style

Very very disappointed. i've been going to Mels for 25 years. I know portions have changed, but this is rediculous!!! And $15 to boot! Will not return!!!

I absolutely love Fish and Chips, so when I moved to town I was on the lookout for a fantastic place to indulge in some. One night, I randomly decided to try out Mel's just as they were about to close. The staff was amazing and was kind enough to prepare a 2-piece Pollock for me even though they were in the process of closing up for the night. I opted to take my order to go and was delighted to see that it was wrapped in newspaper. When I got home, the food was delicious. I now visit Mel's 3 or 4 times a month and every visit is consistently great, with excellent service. If you have the opportunity to stop by, I highly recommend it.

This restaurant possibly serves the best fish and chips in town, and the staff are fantastic. The prices are reasonable considering how expensive fish and chips can be. I really enjoy the vintage atmosphere here! I don't come here often, but I definitely plan on returning.

It's amazing how fried food can sometimes make you feel at home, but the women who work at Mel's always manage to brighten my day every time I visit and order their food. I can't praise them highly enough - they have consistently provided quality customer service and excellent value for years!

Definitely recommend Mel's, the food is excellent, the coleslaw is amazing and such a great atmosphere. Will be back
