Olympic Restaurant - Woodstock

Great pizza and great pricesCould use a few more ingredients on the menu and a thin crust option then Olympic would be perfect.

First time at this restaurant, heard the advertisement on Heart FM Radio, decided to try it. Amazing! Breakfast was delicious, home fries to die for, eggs done to perfection, service was excellent and very accommodating. Will definitely go there again for breakfast and also try dining there for supper in the future.

The restaurant, essentially a diner style breakfast/lunch sort of establishment, was clean and the food that we had was adequate and priced fairly. We both had the lunch special consisting of a soup, sandwich, and coffee for about $8 each. The soup was excellent (sort of a bacon and potato soup) and the sandwich tasted fresh and home made. No complaints and no after effects! The menu had more expensive items, including dinner items, but they were overpriced based on the type of basic restaurant this one is. We chose this restaurant after reading the reviews and felt that it was a good match for what we were looking for and time constraints. If I lived in Woodstock, I would go again.

Just stopped in for bacon and eggs but sadly just missed breakfast. The older lady (waitress) was a sweetheart and was wonderful with some of the customers children. The food... Quite a different story.I'm not going to hammer this place too hard because I've yet to try their breakfast. The place was clean. That's one positive!But if I wanted frozen food I could have just reached in the freezer at home. The fries were frozen and tasted like the cardboard hash browns my old high school cafeteria served... 30 years ago. Seriously, how hard is it to have fresh fries. I call it laziness. The burger... well it looked like a preformed frozen patty. It sure tasted frozen or maybe it was just void of any seasoning whatsoever. Overall my tastebuds were left saying, "wtf was that? Did we do something to deserve this bland punishment?"I'll go back and try the breakfast. But I'm not going to tell my tastebuds. They may not agree.

Small restaurant but well serviced. Food is basic but tasty and good value. Owner is new in town but he has made a good impression.
