After reading Meatballs And Beef Cheeks review on Lola, I have been looking forward to trying this cafe out. Lola is a hidden gem located on Trafalgar Lane, Woolloongabba. A cafe that offers a small variety of brunch foods as well as home-made muffins, brownies, banana bread and ofcourse coffee. When I entered the cafe, I was instantly drawn to the beautiful portrait on the wall that happened to be Corinne's (owner), great aunt who's name is Lola. I can't forget about the geometric shelves near the counter, the wooden colours introduced a comfortable touch to the cafe. I had a quick look at the menu and went with a Mocha coffee and a Toastie that consisted of Cheese, Ham, Mustard, Pickle and Sourdough. The coffee - contained a lot of chocolate which unfortunately masked the caffeine flavour (therefore I couldn't really taste the brew). But in saying that, I was in the mood for something sweet so I took it like a hot chocolate instead. It was still good, did the job to keep me warm ???????? Toastie was on the table - took my first bite and it was CRUNCHY! I gotta say, I'm not a fan of pickles but this... I really enjoyed it with the mustard. The toastie was nice and cheesy with the ham still hot. Everything combined turned out to be a simple yet delightful breakfast ???? I'll definitely be back for another coffee and breakfast treat. Thank you so much, Corinne and the staff, for the friendly and polite service this morning ????????

Great food. Great coffee and hot chocolates (my favourite). Great people. What more could you ask for in your morning coffee run! The story behind Lola is beautiful and you should ask the staff to tell you all about it and the passion that goes into making Lola, Lola.
I am not a coffee man however the hot chocolate is one of the best, if not the best, I have ever had. The food is great, I have had breakfast, lunch and of course their delicious snakes. The staff are AMAZING, helpful and never rude. Great little vibe, everyone is friendly and I will be back time and time again!
