Ice House Pub - Worcester

Excellent, truly farm to table food sourced locally and outstanding service every visit!

I visited on a Thursday evening when the restaurant wasn't busy, but we ended up waiting half an hour for the hummus appetizer. After that, we had to wait another half hour for our main course. It's disappointing because the food was good. I was surprised by how spicy the beef pot pie was—it made my nose run! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, but it doesn't have that typical pub feel. I found the menu to be quite pricey. We've tried to visit four times since they first opened, but unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be returning. I had high hopes for this new place in town.

I grew up just a short walk from Ice House and spent my first 18 years in Barre. I visited last night with some friends and was amazed at how much the place has transformed! The atmosphere is nice—comfortable and slightly trendy. The service was great, and the drinks were of Manhattan cocktail bar quality—excellent! I may have indulged a bit too much! The food was exceptionally well-prepared, definitely with a hipster vibe, but in a positive way. The burger was outstanding, and the flatbread special was delicious. I can’t wait to return! I just hope that being located in Barre isn’t a challenge for this place.

What a huge letdown! The prices were far too high for overcooked vegetables and a tough piece of meat that was difficult to cut and way too chewy. On a positive note, they did offer a delicious sweet IPA from an excellent selection of craft beers.

We’ve always had a great experience at this restaurant. The staff is delightful, and our food and drinks are consistently served quickly. It is on the expensive side, but the quality makes it well worth the price.
