This pub is a great place to enjoy a convivial drink in a cosy bar with traditional original architecture, bar, fittings, etc. The entire establishment is kept very clean with comfortable seating, an open fire and a very welcoming atmosphere. The bar staff are always friendly and there is an excellent range of ales/beers. There is a dog friendly policy and on each of our visits, the customers themselves have always been welcoming and friendly. There you is a separate dining room and the food is truly excellent. It is all home-made and nutritious. Prices are reasonable and service excellent. All in all this is a place to visit. booking for an evening meal is recommended, although do note that the kitchen is not open every day of the week. Visit their website.
Last Friday we celebrated our father’s life at a private party at The Paul Pry. The event was overseen by Alex and Elly. As one gets on in years, one attends more and more funerals and wakes, so we are becoming seasoned campaigners. The management of the event was exemplary and the food provided was nothing short of extraordinary. Every one of the fifty plus mourners rated this the best wake they had ever attended, and some have attended many. All food presented on the buffet was homemade and freshly prepared, with both modern and traditional items served with flair and imagination. The scotch eggs were universally praised as the best anyone had ever had, with all in awe at the fact that every one of them had a slightly runny centre! There were countless other delicacies that pleased the palate. The open bar was obviously popular, but this was managed efficiently and effectively by the team. I would not hesitate to recommend The Paul Pry as a venue to celebrate someone’s life and this sentiment would be whole heartedly supported by all those present for the event.
My friends and I went to this amazing pub on a Friday night. It wasn't too crowded and we were able to find seats easily. We loved the Worcester Gold Pale Ale, which was gluten free. The atmosphere was great and the selection of beers was excellent.
Best Sunday lunch in Worcester. Great pub with unique atmosphere staffed by lovely people. You need to book in advance, because it's deservedly popular.
