The restaurant offers a great selection of high-quality food. It is an old café with a lot of history, making it a perfect spot for newcomers to Worthing or any new town. I had a nice three-night stay and this restaurant was a convenient choice for lunch on my first day.
Been here many a time since the kids were small, lovely way to spend some hours including the arcade and outside rides. If you want posh go somewhere posh if you want friendly service and a cuppa or some good chips this is your place. Long live the Lido Café!
Pleasant place on seafront but the layout and atmosphere is not as welcoming as it used to be 2-3 years ago. On entering, the food service counter is in a different place and the whole layout looks a little odd. There is another section which for some reason is curtained off although it's more seating and tables from what I can see. Food/drink is ok but expensive. Unfortunately we do not visit as much as we used to as a result.
We have been frequenting The Lido for years as a family, and it is my grandmother's preferred cafe in Worthing. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, and Carl and his team are always very welcoming, even on busy summer days. The menu offers classic dishes like bacon sandwiches, full English breakfasts, toasties, and fish and chips. While the food is not high-end, it is well-prepared and delicious. The prices are very reasonable - you can enjoy a lunch with hot drinks for three people for just £20! They also have a nice selection of cakes. The views on a sunny day are lovely as well.
