Mellow Mushroom - Wrightsville Beach

I have always heard good things, so I thought I was not disappointed, but the crust was a great surprise. in my experience vegan pizzas often have thin, even craspier, crust; easier to use a knife and fork. this crust was thick and soft; can not remember the last time I could use my hands to eat pizza.

I love mellow mushrooms! that is the fourth place where I ate in north and south carolina. always a few good local beers, as well as many veg and vegan options. every place where I can put grilled tempeh on my pizza with Daiya cheese is a winner in my book.

They march and taste the test before they go on a sandwich or pizza, and it's crazy good. I am a creature of habit my favorite pizza in mellow mushroom: no cheese or butter; light vegan cheese (they use daiya mozzarella;) tempeh; ananas; wobble; and kalamata oliven. delish. they also have several vegan sandwich options, including a tempo-hoagie, and the hummus is quite delicious.

They marinate and pan fry the tempeh before putting it on a sandwich or pizza, and it's crazy good.
