My favorite dive bar in Wrightwood. The ladies that work here are mostly friendly. They even do food, mainly frozen pizzas and frozen wings in High Speed oven. Don't expect any type of a dining experience, but when you're fayded-it does the trick! The decor is pretty cool, with a vintage mountain ski vibe and pool tables up stairs. Plenty of locals come through here while it's the only place that stays open late. The drink selection is pretty basic, with simple selections of beer and basic cocktails. The prices are slightly above average. If you are looking for a place to grab a few in this mountain this town, check it out!
I was just passing through from Phoenix and discovered this great little spot for a cold drink. Jessica, the bartender, was not only friendly but also really attractive. It would be nice if they stayed open until 2 am, but I understand that business hours can be tough. It's the only place in town where you can grab a late-night drink, so make sure to stock up on some beers for your room!
DO NOT USE CARD! You will be overcharged. Had to dispute with the bank. Also, the price of drinks change constantly. I ordered a ketel one and Red Bull. $13. Came back a half an hour later and it was $14. They also do not give you the Red Bull can you pay for. Red Bull sends out reps to random bars to check for that specifically. It's a cool environment, but they get enough business to not overcharge their guests.
First and foremost, I'd advise against using your card here; always pay in cash. The prices of drinks seem to change constantly. For instance, I ordered a drink for $13, but when I returned half an hour later, it had gone up to $14. I also bought a drink for my daughter and was charged $12, while she was charged only $8 for the same drink. This seems to be a well-known issue in the community. The worst part of the night was when I ordered a Modelo. The bartender tried to serve me a bottle that had clearly been opened and partially consumed by someone else. I witnessed her pull it from behind the bar and attempt to hand me someone else's beer that had obviously been drunk from. It was quite disturbing.
