Food and service are excellent although, like most places now, on the pricey side. Pity as we would go more often if a few pounds was taken off everything. Parking can be horrendous at peak times. This was our first visit and certainly won't be our last! The food was exceptional with lovely generous portions and lots of choices on the menu. The staff were very professional and friendly and were very patient with us even though one of our party was held up due to road conditions meaning we were late ordering. Had a rich fish filled fish pie with smooth mash and a cheese topping. Delicious. My wife had lambs liver with red wine. Mash and veg were tasty and nicely cooked. Good selection of ales and ciders. I'm definitely going back. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We visited for the 1st time on a recommendation we loved it great sign when we wait there 20 minutes before it opened people waiting outside the food was excellent all fresh there was a wait, but there was nothing noticed because there was the waiting fantastic ales and the staff very helpful the owners working and making sure everything is in order, we will rreturning again
