Amazing view from the terrace. The food was delicious, we ordered the zanderfilet and schnitzel as main dishes. It tasted fresh and a refined combination of vegetables. Accompanied with some local wines. Just the staff could be a bit more service oriented: we arrived sunday arround 20.15 and most terrace facing tables were empty. The waiter told us the tables near the fence with best view were all reserved, though... Later, when we asked again to another waiter, she told us there were no reservations anymore.
This location at the edge of the forest above the Käppele is stunning. It's a strenuous walk up from the city centre. The service, food and wine were excellent. They provided blankets in case it is a bit cool. This is definitely a great place to impress visitors or a date. I recommend to call ahead to book or to check that therer is not a private event such as a wedding.
We were for a family dinner in nikolaushof and we had a lovely evening. Really nice staff, also the food and wine were perfect! it really is the most beautiful location in Würzburg! We will definitely be back again!
We were here to celebrate a bithday. And we really had a great evening. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a prefect evening. We had a 4 course meal and enjoyed every single bite.such nice and friendly staff. They always also asked if we were ready for the next course or would like a little break! We really enjoyed the meal and the wine which the waiter picked out for us! The restaurant itself was really pretty and the views from there are breath taking! Also great place to go in summer. We will be back soon for sure! Thanks again to the whole team!
Our host company chose this restaurant as our final dinner on our final night wrapping up a whirl-wind (3 day) visit to Germany. I have to say the food, the service and the location was something I wouldn 't have missed. We had beef, chicken and salmon, tagliatelle, salad and as always it seems, fresh loaves of bread. The meal was served buffet style however the desserts were served table side and featured x4 of their little sample sized items. There was a very nice sorbet , a small creme brule, a small chocolate cake/brownie and another small spoonful of a creamy chocolate ..... thing! Don 't know what I would call it, sorry! All in all an excellent dinner. Thanks Nicolaushof
