Staatlicher Hofkeller - Würzburg

A really impressive wine cellar with a lot of history! The guided tours are totally entertaining. Even children don't get bored!

The wine tasting at the Hofkeller has been fun. However, you have to be a little drink-proof, because 6 wines and a glass of secco are quite nice to beat. The glasses are always filled with 0.2 l. When booking, we assume that only small quantities will be delivered... The ambience is very nice and the staff very friendly. However, there are too many participants (approximately 100 people), so that there is no possibility to request or further information about the wines.

A place I definitely visit once a year or after Laune more often. For guests in Würzburg, the cellar tour is certainly interesting! Little tip, let's give you a good tip home, I promise it's worth it.

Cellar tours with wine tasting are offered in a beautiful building on the left of the residence. I only admired the beautiful building this time because the time was missing (see photos). After all, the winery has existed since 1128!
