Hellas Restaurant - Wuppertal

Loved the grilled salmon and butter rice with beans and veggies. Washed it down with a thirst quenching cool lemonade. This restaurant is quite popular with the locals. Only a couple of the waiters speak English, but all of them have a smile on their...face and that makes a difference. Good variety of greek food, salads, pizzas and more.

We visited Wuppertal to see the Piña Bausch dance company at their home venue. Hotel was nearby, but where do we eat? The smart place at the Opera House was fully booked and the McDonald near our hotel too unthinkable. A quick search of a...Trip Advisor revealed this place. It was busy, but we got a table and the service was awesome. They even had a menu printed in English; good when you're ordering Greek food! So we had a good feed, a couple of beers and walked 5 mins to join the queue to take our seats for the evenings performance. No wonder this place is so popular!

We ate here by chance, our first choice of restaurant was closed on a Saturday evening! We were pleasantly surprised with the food and the service and even more pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived, 44 Euros for 1 starter, 2 main courses and a...bottle of wine. I would come back next time I'm in Wuppertal.

Hellas Grill has been a staple in Wuppertal for decades. The menu is extensive but I would recommend the gyros. It's a bit pricey when you go with the family.They accept cc"s. It's always crowded there ,so you may have to wait.
