Had beef lasagne it was terrible cold had to be reheated. Watery and tasteless. Husband had watery chicken curry. Surprised as food seems to have gone down hill. Will give it a wide berth for quite a while.
I had 'lasagne ' which cost £14.50 and can honestly say it was the worse lasagne I 've ever had. It consisted of a dish containing tinned mince covered with a sheet of lasagne and it was completly tasteless. Accompanied by chips and salad. All the lunches are served on breakfast plates to make you think you are getting more than you are. Later I ordered a pot iof tea and cakes for three at a cost of £21! The chairs are extreemly uncomfortable because I guess they want you out as quick as possible. The only redeeming feature of this place is the view but everytime someone opens the door to visit the duckpond everyone sitting near is frozen.
Nice spot, food is okay but nothing special, and it is very expensive. The outside location near the pond is probably the best bit, and its handy for the craft centre
Always loved coming here over the years, the restaurant has always been a treat when I say a treat I mean because it's so expensive. An absolute rip off, 2 Quiche Salads 2 sift drinks almost £35. Not value for money at all, the tiniest piece of limp quiche, a salad garnish that's all it was a few new potatoes or a handful of chips for £14.99 per person- honestly a **** rip off. I would have complained but I was treated by my Mom who is a pensioner she was just happy to be out! Not for me, I will not be returning, there are far better restaurants around offering better food for a more reasonable price.
