After calling around, The Bulls Head seemed like the best choice. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner (we assumed, as the restaurant had changed management multiple times). The restaurant was empty, so we were able to choose our own table. We perused the menu and found options that appealed to everyone, as well as some appetizers to share. Unfortunately, my favorite deep-fried brie was frozen in the middle. The olives and dips didn't come with the bread as advertised, but we were given some after we asked. The main courses arrived, and my vegetarian bake was mediocre, with the side of chips never showing up. The mushroom pasta was dry, not in the usual creamy sauce. The garlic bread that was supposed to come with the pasta was really just partly baked rolls with olive oil drizzled on top. One guest who wanted something light got a massive salad with greasy fish. As a private event began, it was clear that we were no longer a priority for the staff. We finished our meals without being offered dessert or more drinks. Ultimately, we all agreed that this was a disappointing experience and we won't be returning. It's a shame to see a restaurant with potential losing customers due to kitchen staff and management issues.
The locals can be a bit rowdy and loud, but aside from that, the atmosphere here is pretty good with a nice smoking area. The staff are friendly and the food is good. If you're looking for a quieter experience, I would recommend going across the road to the Old Bull. The jukebox is good, but some people put on terrible music.
What a great pub! A classic olde worlde pub with a log fire and a warm welcome. We had traditional home cooked lunches, served with a smile, just the way it should be. We will be back.
Loved this place. Great food, lovely staff, good value. Also has an excellent play area for children and plenty of parking. Thoroughly recommended.
Spur of the moment lunch at the Bulls Head Inkberrow. Well worth the visit can recommend the steak, onion ciabatta and bacon, brie and cranberry ciabatta
