The Crown - Wychavon

We decided to check out the pub after hearing about their new chef and menu. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food, generous portions, and reasonable prices. The service was welcoming, friendly, and quick. The dining area has been completely renovated and looks charming with exposed beams and soft lighting, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for a dark autumn night. Overall, we were very impressed and will definitely be returning soon. Great job, keep it up!

We have dined at this restaurant before and had a positive experience, although it was some years ago. However, our most recent visit did not meet our expectations. Despite still enjoying the pub and its atmosphere, we found the menu to be lackluster and not reflective of what was advertised online. Despite our initial optimism and past positive experiences, the food was truly terrible and some of the worst we have ever had. My dish was inedible due to its lack of flavor and excessive spiciness. While my partner managed to eat his meal, he later regretted it. We should have spoken up about our disappointment, but we were unsure where to begin. Overall, we were extremely disappointed and it is unlikely we will be returning to this restaurant, which is a shame.

My wife and I went to this pub for lunch today. We had found it in the AA Best Pub Guide, but unfortunately we feel that it did not meet its reputation. The Crown is a charming pub in a beautiful village. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. However, some items on the menu were not available. My wife ordered the fish and chips, but she thought the fish was most likely frozen and not fresh. I had the Macaroni Cheese, which was lacking in cheese but otherwise decent. It is possible that they were just having an off day, but in our opinion, the pub was not one of the best.

Really nice ambiance booth or table choice for Friday night booking essential to avoid disappointment. Excellent menu offer very tasty chef specials I had the Partridge …wow exquisite! Rest of party had Curry Chefs special and the Thai expertise of the Chef was in obvious evidence in a rave review of our diners! Pudding offer was excellent! 1 of our party a teetotaller so pleased to have the Corona ‘Cero’ was welcome although they could have a wider selection.

Very good stay. The staff were, without exception , very obliging and helpful . Comfortable rooms, we were all pleased and will return when in the area again.
