Contribuisci feedbackWent for lunch today and was very disappointed. I had fish and chips. Somebody should tell the chef that chips are not thin French fries as I was served. Also mushy peas should not contain mint. The piece of fish was possibly a childs portion. My wife had linguine with prawns. Not many prawns and those that were there were over cooked. We understand that it runs as a charity but it still needs to have honest reviews and this is one. Over priced for what we received.
We visit on a very regular basis, lovely venue especially if it's a sunny day and you can sit outside. The team are lovely and very welcoming, you can see the puppies come in from their training as they pass through the restaurant, always a lovely treat! Definitely recommend a visit to the Hearing Dogs Cafe, it is indeed a hidden gem.
Poor experience for the second time in a row. Main front of house woman is very unfriendly and really sniffy if you haven’t booked even if the place is empty. Coffee was not great either. Will give it one more go as it’s a nice space.
Unfortunately today was the second time this month, I have visiting the Grange to receive a very poor experiences. The first time table service was poor, staff forgetting to bring all items ordered to table a number of times, and as we were shown to sit on the Sofa area being told not to spill our food on the Sofa!!! Today the 2 Barkwell Tart were inedible, was offered a small refund for 2 cups of tea, not the cake a £4 per slice, than refund was then put onto the incorrect card. with no apology. I am totally disappointed with both visits and it would not be some I would return too or recommend. I am fully aware Volunteers help but training could be much improved.
I have visited here a few times for brunch/coffee but this time I visited for a Hearing Dogs Tour (go to their website, and it is £7.50 per adult to see the work they do and learn how important their work is. The tour is run by volunteers and staff who are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and enjoy what they do. Their passion really comes through you also get to meet a working partnership (dog plus owner) which is wonderful. Throughout there is plenty of scope to ask questions to appreciate and learn what they do. I think the price for the tour is very cheap, so in my opinion please do tap your card on the way out to donate a little more if you can the work they do is not Government funded, and the money really does help change lives. The coffee and cakes, plus the variety of food to purchase is really great too, a very wholesome afternoon spent! Much recommended!
