We are lucky to have this chippy on our doorstep. Super-fresh cod, with light batter and crispy chips. The manager, who is keeping the place going on his own, is always cheerful, polite and friendly, and goes the extra mile to be helpful. No problem with hygiene. Do give it your business, and ignore the rubbish review.

A very clean and efficiently run store with a great friendly vibe to add food was on point too. A must place to visit for Chippy food lovers !

Terrible customer service, rude abrupt Asian manager who was wiping his nose then using same hand to bag food, under cooked chips definitely a no no, zero health hygiene practice and definitely need educating.

We pick up a large cod and regular chips about twice a week, and the quality is consistently excellent: fresh fish, light batter, usually cooked to order. The quantities provide a full lunch for the two of us. The staff are always friendly. Highly recommended.

The batter on the fish was light and beautifully cooked. The cod was a generous size and the fish was white, skinned and delicious. I haven’t had such good fish and chips in a very long time.
