Papa Tasos - Wytheville

Horrible first experience. I asked for a popcorn shrimp and chicken plate. I got a salad as my side. She told us it was self service. I went to the salad bar all they had was a black thing full of brown and watery lettuce, onions and pepperoncinis which looked really good and a bowl with a few cups full of dressing. Then when I got my plate you can even tell the difference in between popcorn shrimp and popcorn chicken and then I had fried onions and something fried green on my plate. The cocktail and tartar sauce seem like it'd been sitting on the table since yesterday. The tartar sauce tastes nothing but a mayonnaise and the cocktail sauce tasted nothing but of ketchup. The chicken was hard once you got done doing a mystery taste on which one was shrimp and which one was chicken. They are open on Mondays even though Google review says they are closed. Should have took that as my sign will not be back.

Awesome hushpuppies!!! Everything was good and wonderful service. Papa Taso checked us out and had to make sure we had gotten enough to eat. Enjoyed the outside dining alot. Very clean also.will definitely go back.

Great service and very nice owner. I wanted to love this place but the food left so much to be desired. The oyster stew was tasteless and wasn 't at all a stew, the Moussaka tasted like it was just pulled out of the box in the freezer and then burnt. Even the salad was not tasting fresh. Highly disappointing, maybe it was just an off night.

Absolutely wonderful staff delicious food! My fiance I happened across this place it was an absolute delight! The hushpuppies are mouth watering! I got a lamb gyro ???? my fiance got onion rings, calamari, catfish. Both got coleslaw sweet tea. 10s all around!

Okay, this place was surprisingly awesome. We?ve done the trip south (from Ohio) a few times and are always hoping for somewhere good to stop along the way and this place totally killed it. I was not expecting to get a really good shrimp po? boy on our drive but man, they delivered here. Also our waitress was an absolutely sweet woman. Everyone here was nice, the food was solid, what a cool place/find.
