The food is good and the staff are friendly and attentive. We don’t understand some of the negative reviews Novas does not pretend to be fine dining but does deliver a varied and tasty menu , this is complemented by Paul and his team who genuinely want to ensure a good evening for those visiting. The entertainment is great and there is something for everyone The quiz on Thursday is head and shoulders above every other quiz evening in the area and Paul is a talented and humorous host. Check what’s on pick your day and give it a go !
We travelled from the UK and this place was a home from home!! All the food was home made and you could really tell!! The server was great and interacting with our little boy and the price was very reasonable for us. We didn’t have to wait until our glasses were empty before we have a refill!! The poor ratings have really surprised me as I have been to Novas twice this holiday and both times it was great (I could even watch the footy) this place needs more credit than it’s getting.....try the Steak and Guinness pie it’s 10/10
Great Blood pumping night with a Modern Day electronic quiz, recently opened and i do agree with previous reviews, but i am sure the Food and service will improve in time, overall great time , dont let reviews spoil this wonderland place , Paul is a great host and the staff very friendly and are doing there best, leadership in the kitchen and service is needed
Happy atmosphere of a group of English amateurs running a pub for English locals. Drinks cheap, service slow, food awful.
Located in Costa Nova this is perfect if you are staying in the area, are disinclined to travel too far and do not have high expectations, especially if you have a large family. There is not much, if any at all, competition in this area so standards do not have to be high; and they are not. The food is typical ping and reminiscent of 80 's pub chain offerings; old favourites pre-prepared, tasteless and not of great quality. Having said that the serving staff were all very, very cheerful and helpful which is good because the food service was as poor as the quality. The place is well laid out with a nice terrace and plenty of space for bored offspring to explore. They often have entertainment here and as a bar it is great. Prices are reasonable and there is a nice atmosphere. I can see Nova 's being popular during tourist season and may be a good bar venue out of season. I will return but not to eat.
