Luna Sea Fish House - Yachats

My first visit to the restaurant was quite pleasant, but my second experience was a real letdown. I ordered the same crab dish, and it was a disappointment compared to the first time. The crab was small, thin, and dry—about the size of a frog—whereas my first order was large and juicy. To make matters worse, I wasn't provided with the proper utensils for eating crab, and when I asked for them, I only received a regular fork. Even though I was sharing the dish with a friend, they didn’t offer an extra plate to make the crab easier to handle. Additionally, the French fries were overcooked and dark, which suggested that they were fried in old oil. On the bright side, the grilled oysters were decent, and the music played by the gentleman was excellent. Overall, I’d rate the food a 4, service a 4, and atmosphere a 4.

Really really excellent! We had cod fish and chips, crab cakes, and a mixed platter with prawns, scallops and halibut. All of it was fresh and absolutely delicious. The coleslaw was nothing to note but the tartar sauce was bomb. It was a little confusing to figure out if you could eat inside (you can) and whether the entrance was in the front or back (both). The parking was mostly street parking. Excellent food, especially the halibut and chips as well as the clam chowder!! Great service, staff was accommodating and very attentive! Will be our go to for dinner every time we stay in Yachats!
