I had the lobster. So good and reasonable prices. It's not a beautiful place. They use paperboard and plastic forks. I found it. The server was attentive and friendly. Back to Clam Chowder.
Service was great, every restaurant on Cape Cod is short staff so patient! The girl with the great tattoos was our waitress who was fabulous. She did her best with a slammed restaurant her and another girl. I'll give them all the loan to run crazy men around. The food was great. It took a while to get our food, but it was worth it. Great location too! Décor was great.
I'll rate this establishment 2.5 stars. I'm just not a fan of plastic utensils and paper plates when eating dinner. The food was good and the service was fine. I had the broiled scallops that came with h a house salad. The scallops were tasty and fresh. The clam fritters I wouldn't recommend as they were very dense and mostly dough. My wife had the seafood pasta dish that had a nice pasta sauce with a slight kick to it. It was full of seafood including: cod, scallops, shrimp and a few pieces of lobster. Not a place I'd return to given the many options but it was a good value overall.
Not great but not as bad (for me anyway) as others have suggested in my humble opinion. Not a one but not great. We showed up here by chance..were just driving around looking for some seafood. Had seen this place before but not stopped by so we decided to give it a try. No lines, seated immediately and very casual atmosphere. Nobody was unfriendly to us at all. Service was a bit robotic but not unfriendly and food came out fairly fast. The place could have used a bit more atmosphere but there were customers. I had fried Clams..whole belly.. which is my go to meal when on The Cape. I thought they were OK. But they were very battered and if you get heartburn easily and want to order something fried, take a Tums or something. The thing is seafood places on the Cape are everywhere. I would not rate this as anywhere near the best but it's not inedible. I finished mine. I'd give the clams about a 5.5 of 10 for the heaviness factor. I did get kind of queasy later but that has happened to me with other places that serve fried seafood. My favorite on The Cape? Moby Dick's. Lobster boat is also good but like this place their food is heavy. Captain Parkers has great chowder but tough to get in on weekends. The thing about this place, Salty's, is we got in right away which is basically what we were looking for.
