Shanty Cafe - Yarmouth

We've finally tried the food at the Shanty Cafe and are disappointed that we waited so long to do so. It's delicious! Our son enjoys the Thorburger and hubby and I think the Filet Mignon Sandwich and the Muy Cubano are to die for. We've already eaten there twice and I can see us going back again and again. My only disappointment was that the Cuban Congri (rice beans) is no offered as a side dish with other items than the Muy Cubano. That rice is one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten but we're not huge fans of pork. Please consider adding it as a optional side dish (even at an additional charge) to your other offerings as well. We would have loved to have it with our Filet Mignon sandwiches tonight instead of salad or fries but were told it wasn't possible. Keep up the excellent work!

We went here for breakfast while on our mini road trip. Was amazing! Had the Shanty Breakfast eggs, bacon (a wicked portion for a restaurant breakfast), homefries (best restaurant homefries I've ever had), and toast. And coffee. Really good coffee. The food was so good, the service was terrific. Many thanks to the young man training at the Needs/Shell station on Starr's Road for recommending The Shanty Cafe! Was a great start to our day! We'll be back the next time we're in Yarmouth!

Awesome food, had to try it out after having been told so many good things about the place and the owners. Was not disappointed and the little togo packages were yummy as well. wished I would have bought more. I recommend you try the cuban food. You can get canadian as well but the cuban food was what I tried.

Definitely the nicest, most original cafe in Yarmouth. The fusion of Indian, Middle Eastern, and other international cuisines makes for delicious food. Also the ability to make good cappuccino is a recommendation worth having. We came from Canberra to find it! Yum.

What a nice surprise to our day yesterday ! We asked one of the ladies who works at the Dollarama where a good place to go for breakfast is in Yarmouth and she suggested The Shanty. I have to say, you’ve gained a new customer and if I have anything to say about it ... many, many more! (I talk a lot. Lol) Wonderful place, wonderful people, excellent food.
