Porters Plainland Hotel

The accommodations are top-notch. The room has a large, comfortable bed and a fantastic bathroom. The restaurant is outstanding. I ordered the Seniors steak and it was cooked perfectly. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I went to the restaurant on Mother's Day and it was very busy. The staff were efficient and friendly, but the food was cold. The portion sizes were good, but the quality was lacking. The eggs seemed to have been cooked ahead of time and covered with a fresh egg. I returned for breakfast another day and ordered the same meals, only to find that most items on the plate were cold. Despite mentioning it to the waiter, the problem was not resolved. The meals were on the pricier side and not worth the lack of quality. I contacted the hotel to express my concerns, but was disappointed by the response. I will not be returning or recommending this restaurant.

The service at this restaurant is excellent, the staff are friendly, and they offer a huge range of gluten-free options. It's a shame that other restaurants don't take their lead. We make sure to stop here every time we travel to Brisbane.

Sometimes you just want to experience an authentic let 's actually see where the locals go bar and hotel. I was visiting my daughter at UQ Gatton and she recommended this little gem. Firstly, the rooms are excellent. Ok they are not luxurious but they are comfy, clean and quiet. As good as most Hilton/Marriott rooms at half the price. There is a casino, resteraunt, pub, TAB betting and bottle store attached to this place. The casino is a roulette wheel and about 20 slots and a few other games. The YAB is part of the bar and seems to focus on horses and greyhounds. The steaks , well some of the best I 've had in OZ! Try the 400g angus rump rare. Tender. Really friendly staff and plenty of locals. You can win a number of lucky draws, and why not enter the meat draw? If you do win and you are passing through, donate it to one of the Gatton vet students who frequent the place. Plenty of local character and great placevto stay in a region with few choices. Traffic into Brisbane at rush hours can be brutal. Otherwise it 's 45 minutes out.
