Sukothai - YARRALUMLA

We used to be able to rely on Sukhothai for quality Thai meals but our last two experiences have been forgettable - watery curries, limp fish, tasteless stir fries, slow lethargic service ( also prawns off the menu for two weeks in a row). We won't be returning.

This was the worst Thai meal I ever had. The spring rolls were tasteless. The vegetarian green curry was more like diluted green curry soup. The menu says it has tofu in it but there was no tofu at all. A steamed duck dish was tasteless. All the essence of duck was gone, and there was hardly any taste of duck. But the worst part was slow service. The waitresses just looked at us but did nothing while a child in our group kept saying she was starving. Finally, we asked when our food was going to arrive, and one minute later, it arrived with no apologies or smile. I wasn't surprised to hear that the place is almost empty during the week. There are plenty of Thai restaurants with good food and service in Civic and Dickson, so don't bother trying this restaurant.

My wife and I went there for dinner randomly during the week after another restaurant messed up our booking. What a score!!Great food and great service. The lady serving us was extremely friendly and food fresh and tasty. We had 2 dishes between us with rice and finished every scrap (We normally dont eat that much).Highly recommended.

A very delightful little Thai/Burmese restaurant hidden away in the Yarralumla shops. Family run with a very good range of Thai and Burmese style food to choose from. Our pick is the paradise chicken, closely followed by the red curry duck. The staff are friendly and attentive. Recommend booking for a Friday or Saturday evening.

We ate here a few months ago but I thought it was such bad food I might as well. I had thai beef salad. Terrible. Considering the price they should use proper cuts of meat. The meat was old old old. The chicken was stringy & again from old poultry. The worst thing was there was young kids serving us! The little boy was brining out the the dishes. I'm sure oc health & safety would have a field day! Wheres the cleanliness in that? Terrible. Hope it closes & we get something with value for money food. I dont mind paying if the quality is there.
