The view over the river was beautiful and we ordered a seafood platter for 2 which, coming from the Central Coast of NSW, I thought was incredibly cheap. The platter was as fresh as you'd expect and the wine list was above average. All in all an unforgettable lunch with friends..highly recommended.
Fabulous fresh seafood. We had the hot cold platter for two which was delightful. Wonderful staff who went out of their way to arrange a table on the railing. This was our 3rd visit and we purchased some frozen fresh to bring back to Brisbane. The staff packaged the seafood for our flight home which arrived in excellent condition. We will be back in a month or two to restock. The best seafood at great prices .
Fresh and delicious seafood. We eat here as often as possible. We rarely order the fried fare. Favourites are salt water barra with skewer of prawns and scallops mouth wateringly succulent with a delicious creamy sauce. Also the Asian coconut prawns with wilted greens on rice. Quality is exceptional, position on the river delightful.
This is my second visit to Grunsky's and I'll definitely be back again. The food is fresh and tasty at reasonable prices. We paid $140 for 4 people including drinks. The venue is licensed so some of us had a wine with lunch. I only gave it 4 stars as it's not table service for ordering or delivery of your meals. So we booked a table on the main deck, but had to line up for 10 minutes to order food. I think adding table service would level up this restaurant. The service was very friendly.
What a great location overlooking the river. Lovely open air venue (with a roof) wonderful friendly staff and the food, well, just magic. We had entrees; steamed chicken and pork wantons, a bit disappointing due to lack of flavour and very gluggy but the dipping sauce helped and prawn and scallop skewers WOW. Tender, delicious with a smoky flavour, Yum. Mains were coconut curried prawns with tender greens, absolutely Supurb and a prawn cocktail as the other main. Serves were also generous. The bill with drinks just on a $100. Not bad seeing as it's seafood. Thank you Grunske's, will definitely be back.
