Good food, usually good service, good house margaritas, and great house margaritas if the bartender likes you. The flautas, enchiladas, and salsa are great. But yes the new braunfels and Dan Antonio locations are better.

First, our waiter brought out the wrong drinks. After I clarified that we had ordered two frozen margaritas, he returned with a margarita on the rocks and a double shot of tequila instead. Then I ordered chicken enchiladas with queso sauce on top and just rice—no beans. What did I get? A plate stuffed with beans (no rice) and melted shredded cheese on my enchiladas. The waiter seemed to realize his mistake because, after dropping off the wrong order, he came back to ask me for the fifth time what I had ordered. On his second attempt to correct it, he brought out a cheese enchilada with green sauce. I had specifically requested a chicken enchilada with queso and only rice. How hard can it be to get that right? Not once did he bother to take out a pen or paper to write anything down. It gets better. I spoke with the manager about these issues, and he just stared at me as if I was crazy and showed no intention of helping. After taking my plate back to the kitchen, I told him I didn't want to wait any longer or have their food, and he just never came back or apologized. When my waiter brought the check, he included the extra drinks we didn't order. I called the manager over again, and he seemed annoyed at having to adjust my bill. I do NOT recommend this place. It's not clean, the staff is unfriendly, and the service is terrible. I would give it 0 stars if I could. Go to Casa Maria instead!

We had a mix-up with our drink order, but it wasn’t a huge issue. The server returned with the correct drinks, but they were melted margaritas. Great. We never had our chips refilled, and we weren’t even offered water at the start. The waiter asked us three times what we wanted, but he still brought us the wrong orders. When he returned with new plates, they were still incorrect. I spoke with the manager about the situation, but the chefs kept coming out and giving us dirty looks, presumably because we complained. To top it off, the manager charged us for the drinks, including one that was wrong and more expensive. We finally decided to give up, paid, and left. I’m really shocked at how poor our experience was.

As a regular customer to Mamacita's in San Marcos location I thought I had seen almost everything here. However, yesterday I witness one of the managers the female one) screaming to one of her employees that she could not go on her scheduled brake in front of a room full of customers. It was total inappropriate and embarrassing to witness this. That conversation/argument should have taken place behind closed doors.

First time. 1/2 order of the Nachos al Carbon and a cold Modelo. Awesome. Tasty and hot. Hit the spot. Great service in the bar area.
