I believe they offer options for vegans and possibly gluten-free, as we received rice flour bread. They also have vegan wine available. The drinks are sold separately and the prices are on the higher side, but it's worth treating yourself every once in a while. Updated review as of January 8, 2024.
This is the ideal spot to commemorate your special occasion with elegant vegan cuisine!
Opened in 1927, this French restaurant can be found on the 5th floor of Hotel New Grand, a symbol of Yokohama. Established in 1935, this restaurant was inspired by Normandy’s dining establishments on the world’s largest luxury liner. The spacious and comfortable seating offers views of Yokohama Port from the window. After the war, General MacArthur stayed in Room 315 of Hotel New Grand for three days upon his arrival in Japan as the head of GHQ. It is said that he dined at this restaurant during his stay. The navy blue interior provides a picturesque view of Bay Bridge, Yamashita Park, Yokohama Port, Hikawa Maru, Minato Mirai Ferris Wheel, and Landmark Tower. The location offers a 180-degree view of Yokohama. Travelog French East has rated it among the top 100 restaurants for its traditional cuisine in Yokohama. Though the building may be old, the French cuisine, service, and stunning views make it a favorite in the Yokohama area. All dishes are delightful, with the main dish being especially tender and succulent.
