Maruwa - Yokohama

The meat was moist and tasty, the miso soup had a few root vanillas in it and was a nice stock, the people were very nice and did not think my broken Japanese a bit. The menu is on the wall; Lunch up, dinner downstairs. The lunch menu is simple, standard pork 1200¥, better pork 1300¥, beef roast 1900¥. I had the normal part of the pig, it was melt delicious in your mouth. I've eaten here at some tonkatsu places in my week. This was by far the best. There is usually a line when it opens first, worth waiting.

Definitely the best Tonkatsu I've ever had it. The quality of the pig was exceptional. Crunchy but juicy. I put on the wrong sauce, but the staff was very friendly and patient and taught me the right combination of sauce and meat so I was not too embarrassed.

Very juicy and delicious tonkatsu! Little store and it is very popular, waiting time depends on the time of the day. However, it is worth it! Definitely one of the best i’ve has so far, the miso soup is also mouthwatering
