Since we were staying at the Yokohama Royal Park Hotel, the Japanese restaurant Shikitei on the 68th floor in the hotel was a perfect location since it also featured a stunning view of the waterfront. My daughter and I arrived at the restaurant at 5:30 PM as their earliest dinner reservation. We wanted to enjoyed the food and sunset during our dining experience even though sunset was about 7:00 PM. We definitely enjoyed both the food and sunset. We were quickly seated at a nice window table and our order was taken for drinks, which my daughter had Oolong Tea and I had their Sauvignon Blanc Juice (white grape juice) and their Hisui drink (Macha flavor non-alcoholic drink). The Hisui was a beautiful jade color Macha drink topped with edible gold flakes. Beautiful and full flavored. Our server confirmed that we ordered the Minato Kaiseki and that we had a choice of the Japanese Beef Sirloin or the Sukiyaki Hot Pot. We picked this specific Kaiseki beforehand because we wanted the Japanese Beef Sirloin (Wagyu). Our dinner started with the first dish which was Mozuku Seaweed, Shrimp, Yam, and Cucumber. That was a terrific refreshing combination of ingredients to get us started. Next was the Egg Tofu, Steamed fish and Shrimp soup. It was nicely presented, tasteful, and the steamed fish was perfect. We were then served a nice plate of assorted sashimi. Nicely presented and flavorful. Soba noodles with mushrooms were next and that had a rich unique flavor. A grilled fish with miso paste was nicely presented and the grilled fish was terrific! Both my daughter and I agreed as we ate it. A subtle dish of eggplant, herring, and Bean refreshed our palate. Then the Japanese Beef Sirloin was beautifully served and the beef was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and as tender as should be expected. We then had nigiri sushi and miso soup to finish up the main courses. We ended with another beautifully presented dish of watermelon, mango, and cherry. Overall, the Kaiseki dinner was terrific! The combination of ingredients and flavors were perfect! But what made the individual dishes stand out was the sequence of the dishes. It was well thought out in the order that they were served! Thanks very much to the Chef and Staff at Shikitei for a well-presented, terrific dinner and also a beautiful view! Aloha!
I should have known better... Proved the old maxim, the better the view, the worse the food . We ordered the sushi set meal for 5,500 JPY each, and it was terrible. Poorly cut pieces of fish that were dry and tasteless. Maybe they made it hours (days? in advance? You 'd never get anything this bad at even a kaiten. Very disappointed, especially for the price. There 's no excuse, anyone making or delivering something that bad should know better. View is great, staff are competent if robotic.
Cozy fine dining at the heights of Landmark Tower. Be emotionally-elevated by the great overlooking view of Cosmo World and the rest of the heart of the City of Yokohama. And fell in-love with tHEiR delicious cuisines…
I ate lunch box. This time, it was not a reservation, so I went back from the window. In order to become a window, reservation is required. Yasun, grilled food, and ed food are three-stage heavy, and potatoes are。ped, sashimi, sesame wagyu, and tea bowl steamed. It was late and the fried rice was served. I was worried about what to eat in front of me. The confectionery is a compote of。s in the champagne glass, and the jelly and syrup in it was fashionable. If it is 5500 yen, it was convinced. I enjoyed the lunch of Matsutake 11000 yen. Matsutake mushroom was finished in September, so I enjoyed it until midnight. It is a menu of steamed, simmered。oodles, yuzuanyaki, matsutake mushroom tempura, and matsutake mushrooms. All of them were filled with scents. I enjoyed the seasoning platter, using ingredients. It is a mini seasonal dish. It is a mini kai of Hazuki. You can book a seat on the window from the hotel's restaurant reservation. It seems that the window side is impossible if it is one person ... It was not this time, and the window side was empty. It was a summer parade. Inaniwa udon was told that there is a ginger table prepared if it is not enough, but it was broken down with full stomach.
Wow and wow. Awesome
