The food was good, the service was great, and there was a good selection of drinks. However, it was disappointing that the restaurant was being used as a creche, making it not very relaxing. I won't be rushing back anytime soon.
We visited on movie night and had a great time. The food was delicious and the portions were generous - perfect for sharing fries and starters. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
Been here twice before and have really enjoyed the food on both occasions, the latest visit never disappointed either of us, lovely food, great service and fairly priced. Definitely one to try if you’re looking for a great place to eat.
If you ever want to have a stress free, relaxing and chill evening then this is the place to head for. This is our third visit and best yet. An early doors 6pm booking with two boys, no.1 at 23 and no.2 at 7.5yrs, not in order of preference, simply in order of arrival, long story. It isn’t always easy to find an appropriate food and/or suitable‘atmosphere’ to cater for adults and both ‘boys, but Sloppy’s nails it. Welcoming when booking and arrival, and now no. 1 is of an age, happy to follow his recommendation of Tag Team pale ale, fruity hoppy and cold, the boss had a large white wine and our hostess was friendly and knowledgeable in helping the choice. A choice of board games, together with the relaxing feel, makes you feel like you’ve popped in to a friend’s house. No.2 can be a little fussy but Sloppy’s are happy to tweak for such issues, so he had a plain burger (bread meat bread we have to break down so specifically in other establishments no such comms issues here). They were also able to oblige with no seasoning on their fabulous fries. There are so many flavours to take in, repeat visits allows you to fully sample and mix on the flavour pallette. The burger’s as ever were unctious and packed full of flavour. I think I hit the jackpot with the Dirty Northener, no crude jibes at the other’s expense thank you, served with confit beefy onions and cheese. The boss appropriately had The General, judging by the clean plate, it passed muster swiftly, no.1 had the Trufflepuff, and we shared Tennessee wings with bbq sauce and frickles. Not to be daunted by being full to the nose, the dessert course was more liquid than solid in the form of a bonus wine course for some, a Long Pornstar for me and a more sophisticated Espresso Martini for no.1. Even better is how close we live to this gem, and if we can persuade free child minding from no.1, the music and quiz nights are sorely tempting. Get yourself down here, play with the menu, and sit back and enjoy the instantly relaxing atmosphere, sample the amazing selection of drinks and food, and then start planning your next visit.
