Visited while staying nearby on a recommendation, The tearoom is licensed in the small village of Millington, it has a small car park also rooms available. On stepping inside we were immediately charmed, it is so cosy virtually unchanged from its days as a farmhouse with large range fires in each room. We had tea cakes, mine was a scone which I can honestly say was the best scone I have ever had, I’ve had a fair few! So light fresh with homemade strawberry jam fresh strawberries, the rest of my party enjoyed their cakes too, I will definitely be returning here, we spent a very pleasant couple of hours can highly recommend this lovely place
After a walk in the area, a friend and I decided on a stop here. We have been before. The homemade soup is delicious and the rarebit absolutely scrumptious. After much dithering, we decided to ask if we could have one of each to share. They couldn't have been any nicer. We shared a soup and a rarebit. They even split the salad and crisps. As we were on a roll we chanced our luck and even shared a fantastic toffee ice cream meringue dessert. Heavenly. They were so nice, almost as delightful as the food. What a place!!
Visited again today. I love this place. Location, food, service, room layout (tables spaced, fire burning). Very pleased to have something like this so close to home. Thank you
First visit a little disappointed . We have wanted to try this little cafe for years always seem to be there when they’re closed. Ordered a tortilla wrap and received a soft bred bun instead? Nothing was said at all on ordering. My husband enjoyed the homemade vegetable soup again with a very pale poor quality brown ? bread roll. Ladies who served us were lovely. Will book next time as no tables inside but lovely autumn sunshine.
