Mexitaly Brick Oven Brewhouse - York

This restaurant was a disappointment. The steak tacos were dry and lacking flavor; the cheese had more taste than the meat. My salad was also lacking... The black bean soup was subpar, consisting of a few beans and a very thin broth that just tasted like lime and cilantro. It felt like something thrown together quickly. To top it off, I noticed the cook had raw chicken right next to the cooked chicken—absolutely concerning. Just splendid! All of this cost me $21 for tacos, soup, and a soda. Not worth it.

I had dinner and drinks with a group of six on a Wednesday night. Although there were plenty of staff on hand, the service was somewhat slow, although friendly. I stuck with some basic beers, which were decent. The chips for our appetizers were satisfactory. I ordered the seafood enchilada, but unfortunately, it was not very good. It didn’t really resemble a traditional enchilada, though I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised. The portion size was generous, but it felt a bit overpriced. The atmosphere was fine and clean. I wouldn’t go out of my way to return, but I don't regret the experience. It seems like they might be trying to take on too much.

This is one of my favorite places in York. We've been fans of their pizza since the Camp Betty days on Washington Road. The Mexitaly Pizza is a fantastic blend of flavors, and the Pepper Panchetta is always a great choice too. I really love the hard-shell tacos, the burritos, and the salsa—we often buy it to go by the pint. The food is excellent, with generous portions and good value for the price. The dining room has a quirky charm, and the vibe is wonderful. Our little family always enjoys our visits here.

Just upstairs never had a bad meal here. Everything's great. Food portions are excellent for the price. Ingredients are fresh, and the staff are always very friendly. I appreciate the atmosphere... it's clean, not too loud, and it's very spacious, I don't feel as if I sit on someone's lap (because... The most popular things to order are the Taco salads (the bowl is boss! so good, and the Quesadillas. For the beer I had a Bohemian Pilsen, the last time I was there, and it was light and refreshing. Always impressed.

Always enjoy lunch here. I got the monster burrito with steak and enjoyed the peach mango sour beer and a blood orange hefeweizen. Everything was delicious!
