Delicious Empanadas Latin Food - York

The chicharon was disappointing. The ratio of meat vs fat was nos pleasant but the biggest fault was that it was not fried properly in my opinion. Couldn't finish the whole dish.

Visited with a friend on a weekend for late lunch. The place has a chill low key vibe – you just order what you like at the counter, seat yourself, and they bring you the food when it’s ready. We got their dedos de queso con bocadillo, bandeja paisa with steak, and empanadas.Dedos De Queso Con Bocadillo good but I’m not sure if I would get this again (would rather try other things on their menu first).Bandeja Paisa the chicharron and chorizo were tasty but I was not a big fan of the steak that came with the dish. It was a tad overcooked. Next time, I would try the shredded beef instead of the steak for this dish.Empanadas absolutely delicious (like their name suggests)! Probably some of the best that I’ve tried. Would return just for these. Yum!

The service was terrible. I asked for cheese fingers as a starter and they brought them to me after they had brought me the main plate. They served me the main plate and never brought me forks so I had to go ask for it. You have to pay before the food is served and we included tips. That is not good because you pay before without knowing how the service will be. They only gave us one menu and we were two people. They never took the menu away from us. After you pay you feel almost forgotten.For having so few tables, the staff looks stressed and unorganized. About the food: I liked the cheese fingers and the empanadas. The shredded beef had no flavor. It felt tasteless. My partner really liked the asado de carne.We spent an hour to get there and it really wasn't worth it. Good service is as important as good food. I do not recommend it.
