La Paloma Gelateria & Cafe - York

The ice cream here is one of the best places in Toronto, it tastes very authentic and I think it is made from scratch. However staff here didn't pay much attention to us in fact we had to stand in front of the guy serving the ice cream for a few minutes before he noticed us. I was very close to leaving.

I tried the real Italian gelato, the gelato is creamy, this in a while 'is broken the spoon, to hard to call it gelato, maybe ice cream.

It had been at least ten years since I had enjoyed the best gelato in Toronto. When I visited today, it was as if I had stepped back in time. I felt like a kid again, with too many choices. I settled on strawberry shortcake. The flavour was intense and the consistency creamy. I may be retired but the kid in me was very, very happy.

Came here cause it was rated one of the best gelato places in Toronto. I had the tiramisu which to be honest I didn't love though it certainly wasn't bad, but the Ferraro rocher was awesome! Would go back for that one!

La Paloma is a St Clair west institution, great selection of flavours and the quality is fantastic, the decor however needs some updating and the prices are a bit much but still worth the visit!
