Rick's Cookhouse - York

We ordered a full rack of pork ribs and they were fabulously meaty, great tasting and perfectly smoked! They didn't need sauce, but we gave the two sauces

Stopped in for a quick biteRibs were super good, pull pork sandwich great, roast beef sandwich was terrible- so dry and way over cooked Fries good.

I have never been more disappointed :( in a nutshell: overpriced and bland taste.

Actually pulled into this small strip mall in Newmarket to google search the address of another restaurant for lunch. Spotted Ricks and decided, what the hell.The place isn't fancy, just tables and chairs. Service was good. We had a combo plate. The brisket and pulled pork were awesome. Very flavourful. Bringing the ribs and brown beans home. Portions are big.Def a do again.Fat Chris's ✊ four out of five thumbs up!

Ok so my first BBQ experience in Newmarket was a bust! but. Ricks Cookhouse saved my faith in finding some good BBQ eats in town. Small place but staff was Friendly, Pulled Pork Sandwich was very good, not too sweet, fries were excellent.
