Sushi J - YORKEYS KNOB

I was looking for a couple of party platters for lunch while we were out on the boat with a group of seven. Su was incredibly helpful and was able to modify some of the selections to accommodate our vegetarian needs. The service was extremely efficient, and it was clear that they take pride in their work. The proof was in the tasting—it was all delicious! Su also has some excellent vegetarian options that I’m eager to try. The establishment is clean and tidy, and their Japanese/Korean menu offers a great selection.

Great food with a lovely chef. They provide affordable prices for a quick sushi snack or a full meal. Definitely one of my favourite places for Japanese food

Fortunately, she did prepare a roll for me, but it ended up being quite small—definitely not what I'd consider a decent portion. I mentioned to her that the roll was tiny, and her response was unclear and somewhat curt. While the roll itself tasted okay, I was left feeling frustrated by the overall experience, largely due to the staff's poor attitude. I understand that she might be having a tough day, but it would have been nice to receive some acknowledgment or an apology.

I absolutely love the sushi here; it's the best in Cairns! I can't imagine eating sushi anywhere else. The quality is amazing, and you can really tell how much hard work goes into it.
