Went back to give it a try.... Old chips salsa. Beans smelled bad... Got home and everyone who had the beans were having bad pains and other issues :

The food is amazing. We use to go to their sister restaurant Randall cafe that is no longer open. We wanted their chillaquilles because no one makes it the way they do. Cancun cafe did not disappoint. The steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned amazing. Their green sauce is really really good. Their service is just ok but honestly I didn't go for the service. As long as I get what I need and no one is being rude I'm fine. The food was 5 stars. However, we ordered 2 chillaquilles plates with skirt steak and we paid $57. That is why I have 4 stars. I wasn't expecting that price which is why I gave it 4 stars. The upcharge to add steak at their prior restaurant was $3.99 but here it's $9. I'm not gonna lie I would go every week if it wasn't that pricey. However, this will be an occasional place we go for the best chillaquilles around. I think $57 for breakfast is high in a small establishment that isn't super nice. However, if you don't care about ambience and you want good food and don't mind paying top dollar then I say give it a try.

I don't understand the high ratings of this place. The service was good but the food was terrible. We tried several different options at our table and none us liked it. At best it was bland and non eventful, at worse it was absolutely disgusting and inedible. I hate to give negative ratings but they definitely need to invest some time in learning how to season. Food is good . service is horrible . restaurant was empty on a sunday at 4:20pm Server never came back to check on us . we needed napkins , water refilled etc. I waited for my check . Eventually i just want up to pay. Paid cash. Cashier said we don't have change. How are you running a business so below expectations.
