Brasstown Valley Resort - Young Harris

Professional service 98% of the time. Very welcoming and accommodating. I wish they had bell hop service but they do not. They do have valet though for a fee. Front of house staff and housekeeping were excellent bar and dining room staff need a little work. They all close a little too early which is a shame for those who would like late night drinks (like at 11pm). Resort was too big to explore just in a weekend so I hope I get to go back. So much to do! We stayed in the lodge. Room was great. Comfortable. Some rooms have fireplaces. Cottages down the road are in the woods the atmosphere and experience is quite different and depends on what you want and like. They do not appear handicap friendly? My aunt requested a bottom floor and got a top floor. They may have fixed this situation but she did not bother. Ultimately she managed. Lots of steps and uneven ground. They do have a car (shuttle) to go back and forth from the cottage and the lodge. Emailed. I am sure that staffing would be a problem if I make the suggestions to offer excursions to the local wineries, breweries, mountain overlooks, waterfalls, etc. Fall colors and the view were amazing on property and the entire area! Nearby activities: Wineries, overlook, waterfall, town, Lake with boat rentals.

We booked a room in the cottages. For the amount of money we were paying a night I had to call and ask when the room was last cleaned. Spiders and huge spider webs behind the front door and in the bathroom. There was hair on the bed cover, floor, on the towel and in the bathroom. The blinds on the front door wouldn’t close. When trying they fell down and all of the ceiling chippings from when they redid the ceiling came falling down. The ceiling panels they had was all ripped and they used white round stickers to cover the screws. There was dirty coffee lids and water damage on the wood around the windows. The lighting going to the cottage was terrible. None the the pathway lights worked. We had to use our cell phone flashlights. They apologized and moved us to the lodge. The girl was going to ask the manager to give us a discount for all the inconveniences but that didn’t happen. The new room was better but still needs to be updated. The game room had mold on the ceiling tiles. After all this we had to cancel the 2nd night. The views were amazing but over all this place needs updating and better cleaning. Rooms: Needs major updates and better housekeeping to match the pricing.
