Dos Hermanos - Ypsilanti

I was excited to find out that Dos Hermanos has opened a restaurant near downtown Ypsilanti after being away for a few years. I visited on a Wednesday at 11:30 AM, and I was concerned it might be busy. To my surprise, the place was completely empty—just me! I decided to try the chicken burrito lunch special for only $5.79, which came with beans, rice, and, of course, chips and some delicious salsa. I skipped the sour cream, but the burrito was loaded with guacamole, pico de gallo, and lettuce—everything I could wish for. My order arrived quickly, and it was more than I could finish. The burrito was packed with chicken, and the beans and rice were perfectly portioned. I definitely felt ready for a nap afterward! Overall, it was an excellent meal at an amazing price. I plan to return soon to try more items from their menu. I hope the lack of lunch customers was just a fluke, because this lovely Mexican restaurant, conveniently located near downtown, Depot Town, and the campus, deserves to succeed. Ypsi residents should support their local businesses, and this one is definitely worth it. Skip the chain restaurants and dine here instead. I know the view of the Family Dollar across Water Street isn't the greatest, but just pull down the blinds, focus on your meal, and you’ll be just fine.

The best tacos in Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor! The steaks are amazing; my boyfriend and I order them all the time. Plus, the prices are fantastic—just $1.60!

The food was absolutely incredible! However, the service leaves much to be desired. When we went, the restaurant wasn't busy at all, yet the staff was unresponsive and rather slow. Despite the service problems, the high quality of the food makes me want to give it another try.
