Jose's Mexican Food - Yucaipa

This restaurant is on the verge of going out of business. The prices are outrageous, and the food quality is TERRIBLE. On a Saturday night, there are only eight customers here. We've been regulars for 12 years, but things have really declined in the last three. Every time I say I won't come back, and this time I'm serious. They still have that ridiculous COVID propaganda displayed at the entrance. To top it off, they don’t even offer salt and pepper shakers! Instead, you get packets—yes, packets! With plates starting at $20, it’s absurd to serve condiments like a fast-food joint. I don’t know who is responsible for this mess, but they clearly need to rethink their approach.

My wife and I ordered the two taco plate with fish tacos, and they were fantastic! My mother-in-law had the chicken tortilla soup, and it was so thick that she even had to use a knife to cut it—so funny!

I visited this restaurant a year ago, and my experience this time was completely different. The food was excellent, and the service was great as well. I'm not sure what changed, but I definitely won't wait a year before coming back again.

We came with a party of 8 last Saturday night and much to my surprise sat within minutes. The waitress and the servers were wonderful. Very attentive despite another big party of 10. Even the manager helped. The food arrived in time and was great as it is always! This is our favorite stop when we're in the area.

They have great food and great service. The bartender Jay is great he makes great drinks and is very personally and friendly.
