We arrived at an odd time, between lunch and dinner, which meant the place was largely empty except for one person at the bar. Since we were the only customers ordering food, we expected quicker service. However, we had to wait a few minutes before being greeted and having our drink orders taken. Once our drinks arrived, we were informed that the entire shareables section of the menu—wings, ribs, fried pickles, fried pork skins—was not available, essentially all the items we were excited to try. It would have been nice to know that before ordering drinks, but we let it go and decided to try other options since there were still plenty of meats available. I ordered a half pound of brisket and a fiesta salad. When asked if I wanted a protein on the salad, I pointed to a sign about tri-tip. Unfortunately, they didn’t have that either, so I settled for smoked chicken breast. I inquired about the ingredients in the green chili, but the server couldn’t provide any information and merely mentioned it was a recipe. I have dietary restrictions, so I wanted clarification but opted out because there was no way to know what was in it. My brother ordered a pulled pork sandwich along with a half pound of brisket as well. The salad, when it arrived, looked very plain and was accompanied by three half-filled cups of dressing. It was topped with dry chicken breast that seemed like it was not cooked today, and the salad itself was mostly just lettuce. The chipotle ranch dressing was decent, but that was about it. When the brisket came, I was utterly perplexed. It didn’t resemble any brisket I had ever seen before; it looked more like shredded meat with too many burnt pieces and a very stringy texture. I even took a photo of what was left on my plate because I couldn't finish it, despite being very hungry and disliking food waste. My brother said his pulled pork sandwich was just okay, though that’s hard to mess up. When we finally decided to leave, we stacked our plates, placed our napkins on top, and waited for ten minutes in an empty dining room to receive our check. I would recommend going anywhere else. I'm genuinely concerned about possible food-related issues because I suspect the meat wasn’t cooked today... I can only hope they store their food properly.
