We used up our time with wifi driving from Maricopa and couldn't get a hotel booked in time because of it. By the time we turned around back to civilization we just went ahead and went home. Who charges double they price of the hotel for pets? Insanity.
Haven’t tried the hotel .. but sure would love to next time I pass by Yuma .. was charging my car at the supercharger .. and hanged out at the lobby avoiding the heat and waiting till the car finish .. the place is so clean you eat off the floor .. family friendly cozy entrance .. VERRRY SUPER CLEAN RESTROOMS .. looking at the pool from a distance .. the water was so super crystal clear .. kinda a rare thing to see at a highway hotel Nearby activities: Tesla supercharger .. The entire hotel is impeccably clean. All the staff seem to like what they do and do it with a smile on their faces. Probably the best place to stay in Yuma.Rooms: 5/5
Great proximity to downtown and to I8 access. The food and beverage department is wonderful, but the food is way over priced compared the food within walking distance. There is no free breakfast anymore at Hilton garden inn. That's a Hilton issue. You get a $10 credit per day if you're gold or diamond, but they charge $12.95 for eggs, bacon, and toast. Save it for Happy hour. The food and beverage staff is amazing, and the rooms are good. I was not really impressed with the front desk team, but I'm upset about the way I was treated checking in, and again when I asked for 2 bottles of water after check in and told that would be $4. So that set the tone for time that I've been here. If it wasn't for the location, I would have checked out on day 2.The rooms are always fresh, even with limited service. If I ever needed something, the housekeeping team was very accommodating, especially of my varying schedule.I was here for 3 weeks during the heat dome in July and the air in the lobby area and hallways is stifling. The air in the lobby was out for half the time I was here. If you sit at the bar in the afternoon for happy hour, you'll break out in a sweat.Very frustrated with how they treat their loyalty members. Don't expect much, even if you're a diamond member. If you want water everyday, you'll have to check out and check back in. It's only complimentary on check in.There are signs everywhere that says if you buy food off property, you cannot eat it at the bar or in the common area to watch the TV and have a drink from the bar. That's a property management decision and not a food and beverage decision. If you're here for more then a night, you'll inevitably want to grab food and come back, just odd that they prohibit it.Overall, I don't plan to return here unless forced by work obligations. There is another Hilton property, Home2 suites is very close, just across the railroad tracks, so I'd recommend checking there first if you're a Hilton honors member or have long stay planned. I was put here by default through work travel coordinator. Like I said, I would have checked out if there was room available at Home 2 suites for time here.Hilton seems to be cutting corners everywhere except their boutique properties. I think it's time to move to Marriott rewards and just use Hilton as a backup.Nearby activities: Old town food, bars, clubs, brewery, and movies is 5 minute walk and 1:40 bird scooter ride away.Walkability: 5 minute to old townFood drinks: Bar staff is great. Food is ok, average for a HGI. The food and beverage manager is great. Takes input from the guests and tries to affect positive change.
Highly Recommended Lodging! Excellent customer service, complimentary breakfast, clean rooms, and close proximity of shopping areas, restaurants and Yuma Proving Grounds activities. They also offer military per diem rate.Rooms: 5/5
